Cure Aches and Pains

Cure Aches

Cure Aches and Pains

Daily activities and routines can cause aches and pains throughout the body. Here are three tips to health:

Back pain – Arrange an appropriate sleeping posture. Use a side pillow to support your upper leg if you have the habit of sleeping on the side. If you sleep on your back, support your knees with a pillow to reduce the pressure on the back. Sleeping on your stomach is not recommended. If you must, try to keep a pillow under the stomach. For a good sitting posture, sit up straight with your hip in line with the back of the chair. Get up and walk every 45 minutes – 1 hour. When you stand, switch the weight to each leg from time to time. If you need to lift a heavy object, bend your knees before you get down.

Shoulder pain – If you experience a sudden shoulder pain, stop moving immediately. Do not massage. Take a pain killer for relief and put an ice pad in your shoulder two or three times a day. Consult a doctor if the condition does not improve within 24-48 hours.

Stiff neck – stress, injury, sprain, and deteriorated joints can cause neck pain. Do not ignore these symptoms. To avoid neck pain, do not sit for long hours. Change your posture often. Choose the chair with a strong back support. When sleeping, go for a stiff mattress and align your head to the same level of the mattress.

4 Tips for a Famiry Trip

4 Tips for a Famiry Trip

Taking a trip with your folks may require a different code of conduct. Here are some tips to help you survive the family holiday.

1. Make the schedule and be sure you follow it. Don’t take advantage of your family by thinking that they would forgive you if you are late. Let them be a part of the plan, meet each other half way and be considerate.

2. Your parents may have health concerns such as their sleeping hour or toilet habit. Be prepared to address this issue.

3. Add a ’surprising’ element to your trip. You may throw a surprise birthday party or buy a souvenir your parents wanted to make the trip more special and memorable.

4. make sure the program is flexible and allow everyone some private moment.

Taking a vacation from Common Sense

Taking a vacation from Common Sense

By Roger Vincent

QuickYou’re stridingthrough acrowded airporton the way to your flight when the sharply dressed woman in front of you suddenly drops her purse, spilling change and personal items all over the concourse. Should you stop to help pick up her belongings?

Not if it means putting down your bag. She might be setting you bag. She might be setting you up for what police call a distraction theft. While you’re gallantly scooping up nickels and quarters, a confederate of hers – or even a brazen opportunist passing by – might walk off with your suitcase. Similar thefts happen in airports every day.

There were more than 2,000 crimes reported at Los Angeles International Airport last with theft the most common. From Los Angeles to Chicago to Rome, the tricks thieves use are almost always the same, preying on weary distracted or even naively polite airport visitors.

The odds of sailing through an airport unscathed are definitely in your favour – more than 67 million passengers passed through Los Angeles International Airport in 2000 – but the bad guys are out there, intent on ruining your next trip.
