The Royal Initiated Khun dan Prakarnchon Dam Project
His Majesty the King has initiated the construction idea and has named it Khun Dan Prakranchon Dam to replace the former name of Khuen Klong Tha Dan Dam. It was completed in 2004 and it is the longest reinforced concrete dam in the world. The water from the dam is for agricultural and consumption purposes. Besides, it also helps in the flood control as well as in the reduction of soil acidity.

The Royal Initiated Khao Tao Reservoir
His Majesty the King has initiated the construction idea of a reservoir in Khao tao Village, Huahin District, Prachuab Kirikhan Province to Serve as a fresh water reservoir for the people’s consumption and agricultural use through His Private Fund as a first endowment for the construction. Being completed in 1963, it is the first royally initiated project in irrigation.
