What Loy krathong is?

Do you know What Loy krathong is?

Loy Krathong is Thai tradition which originated long ago. This tradition has 3 objectives.

First, we believe that we float a krathong for offering sacrifice to Buddha’s footprints which exist in many places in the world. We float a krathong for offering sacrifice to them. There is a Buddha’s footprint which is at a riverLank in India so we recall the Buddha’s footprint. We float a krathong for offering sacrifice to Buddha’s footprints.

Second, we float a krathong for asking for forgiveness from the rivers. Human uses water for living, Somtimes we don’t save it, sometimes we leave the waste into the rivers, so one year anniversary, we should recall that we can be alive because we have the water. But sometimes we don’t love the rivers so we make a krathong and float it for asking for forgiveness from the rivers. We express the grateful to the rivers that from now on, we non’t do it. This is the second objective. we ask for forgiveness from the rivers.

Third, we will ask ourselves before we float it. we take the krathong to touch our forchead and pray that from nowon, we will throw a way the bad habit with the kratong. Float the bad habit into water. These are the objectives of Loy Krathong.
