เราตั้งใจจะให้บารายเป็น หนึ่งเดียวที่เหนือกว่าคนอื่น ที่สำคัญต้องมีความเป็นไทยแข่งขันได้กับระดับโลก จึงนำแนวคิด Art of Architecture มาใช้ในการออกแบบ ซึ่งโชคดีได้คุณเล็ก-เมธา บุนนาค มาเป็นสถาปนิกให้ เราสร้างบรรยากาศให้แขกผู้มาเยือนรู้สึกราวกับได้มีการเดินทางที่วิเศษ แขกจะได้ผ่านการสร้างสรรค์งานในรูปแบบศิลปะสถาปัตยกรรม เป็นความลึกลับที่งดงามน่าค้นหา เสมือนทิ้งโลกไว้เบื้องหลัง เดินเข้ามาสู่จินตนาการ หลายๆจุดใช้แสงธรรมชาติสร้างให้เห็นเป็นมิติ เป็นอิสระจากทุกอย่าง และสนุกสนานกับสีแสงที่ลอดผ่านกระจกสี บางจุดแสดงถึงความรุ่งเรืองและการรู้แจ้ง บางจุดเป็นความเรียบง่ายที่น่าทึ่ง มีส่วนของนางอัปสราผู้เป็นตัวแทนความงดงามอยู่ให้ค้นหาในจุดของสปา

เดอะบาราย ถูกออกแบบให้เป็นการเดินทางของจิตวิญญาณ ความรู้สึก โดยใช้ความงดงามทางสถาปัตยกรรมเป็นสิ่งนำทาง เมื่อย่างก้าวสู่โรงแรมอาจมองเห็นแนวกำแพงสูงใหญ่ ภายในแฝงไปด้วยความน่าทึ่ง ชวนให้เข้าไปสัมผัสภายใน นับตั้งแต่การใช้ความงดงามของแสงเงาไปตามทางเดินเข้าไปในโรงแรมและสปา ทางเดินผ่านรูปดาว เรื่อยไปจนถึงสระน้ำขนาดใหญ่กลางโรงแรม ซึ่งมีลักษณะคล้ายสถาปัตยกรรมของเขมร และเป็นที่มาของชื่อโรงแรม “บาราย” ที่หมายถึงสระน้ำ โดยหวังสื่อให้ลูกค้าเข้าไปเยือนดินแดนแห่งความสงบ ละทิ้งโลกภายนอกเอาไว้ ก่อนเดินทางสู่โลกแห่งความสุขและจินตนาการ

THE BARAI provides an oasis of serenity over 4.5 acres of land (18,500 square metres), and has been designed to ensure that guests enjoy the ultimate in relaxation and rejuvenation of body, mind and spirit, whether for a few hours or a few days.

It features eight spa suites for treatments and overnight stays, 18 private treatment rooms, a tranquillity court and pool for relaxation, yoga and meditation sessions, and McFarland House – an elegant beachfront casual dining area.

Designed by the renowned Thai architect and interior designer, Mr. Lek Bunnag, THE BARAI is inspired by the Khmer cultural heritage. The architecture and interior design of THE BARAI represents the glory of the Khmer style of art, combined with the heritage of other art styles from this region. This will be reflected not only in the grandeur of the main facilities and in each of the treatment rooms, but also in all aspects of THE BARAI experience.

ACCOMMODATION

The Barai Suites are eight residential spa suites ranging in size from 126 square metres to 149 square metres. They have been designed for overnight stays and treatments. The ground floor suites feature a garden verandah with a private plunge pool, whereas the upper floor suites feature a spacious balcony with views over the Gulf of Thailand. Each provides a comfortable space and features an oversized luxurious bed and a large soaking tub, Thai bed area for relaxation and traditional Thai massage, individual walk-in closets and vanity area, a private spa treatment area and dining area.
